Apart from selling a range of quality used cars, we also offer a vehicle pawnbroking service. With Hock My Car, you can get access to a short-term cash loan that is secured against any vehicle that you own outright.
Simple Application Process
Applying for a cash loan is easy. All you need is a vehicle that’s registered in your name and that is not currently under any other type of finance arrangement.
After you fill in the online application form, we’ll ask you to supply us with a few simple documents including:
- The registration certificate of your vehicle to prove that you’re the registered owner and that your vehicle is unencumbered.
- Your 100-points of identification such as your driver’s licence, passport, medicare card or any other documents that list your name, current address and signature.
Secure Storage for Your Vehicle
We’ll then verify your documents and ask you to bring your car into our private car yard. We’ll keep your car stored securely in our yard until you pay back the loan amount in full (plus interest).
A short-term loan from Hock My Car is the perfect solution when you need some cash in a hurry, whether it’s for some emergency repairs to your home, the bond and month’s rent for a new property you want to move into or even funds for a holiday that you’re planning to take with your family.
You can rest assured that your car will be safe within our yard until you’ve paid back the full amount of the loan.

How does Hock My Car work?
Your car will stay with SCW and we will lend you the required funds where interest is charged monthly.
What is the interest rate for my loan?
Interest is between 10-20%.
How long do I have to pay off my loan?
3 months. However, we do offer extensions if needed. If an extension is needed, we require at least a month’s interest to be paid prior to the extension being given.
Can I pay off my loan in installments?
Yes. We are here to help you.
Will my vehicle be stored in a secure location?
Yes, we have a car yard that is secured and under surveillance.
Will my vehicle be covered under Hock My Car’s insurance policy?
No, however your current insurance will still be active.
Will my vehicle be driven whilst being held?
No. All cars are kept under surveillance in our car yard.
What happens if I don’t come back or pay off my loan in 3 months, will my vehicle be sold?
Yes, however we will reach out to you 2-4 weeks prior.
Do I have to leave my vehicle if using it as collateral for a loan?
Yes, this is non-negotiable.
What documents do I need to get a loan?
Vehicle registration papers, proof of ownership and bank statement matching name on registration paper
Can I get a loan with bad credit history?
